Thank you to everyone who stopped by to enter my Aforementioned Giveaway! I always learn so much from your comments -- for example, I was interested to hear some of you actually would like to win a bag of fabric scraps (careful what you wish for!), that many of you have vintage tablecloths you can't bring yourself to cut up (I try to work with 'cutters' as much as possible but sometimes the scissors have a mind of their own...) and that you're from all around the country and all around the world. Love that!

A special thank you to Meadowbrook Farm, Oodles and Oodles and Sweet Cottage Dreams for telling their vintage people about my giveaway.

Before revealing the winner of the 'Aforementioned Giveaway,' I'd like to mention one more thing, which is this:

"Aforementioned?" Really? I don't know which meal I missed the day I came up with that.

I'd also like to introduce (sort of*) a blog-shy but very important member of the doily factory. His responsibilities include randomly drawing a winning comment for aforementioned giveaways, providing as-needed comic relief during 'doily emergencies' and the extremely important computer and internet-related technical services that make all of this possible.

So here he is (again, only sort of*), Mr. Into Vintage. And he's more like Mr. Tolerates Vintage or Mr. Neither For Nor Against Vintage. Not quite fully Into Vintage yet. But he's coming along.

*Because putting his photo on this blog could cause a complete implosion on his part, I'll leave Mr. Almost Into Vintage's appearance to your imagination. Baby steps, people.

And now, on to our winner...

Congratulations to Kathleen Grace of Kathy's Cottage!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I checked out her blog and in a funny coincidence, Kathy's Cottage is having a giveaway right now for this red gingham cottage pillow. You know what to do.

Meanwhile, here's what's been happening in the doily factory lately. Just trying out some new ideas for Spring.
Hope you had a great weekend.

  3. Ah HA! I had the same idea! You found those towels with the red stripes at IKEA didn't YOU?
I bought a few an thought to myself that I'd gussy them up just like Into Vintage. Great minds think alike. Well, my mind's usually only great on a Sunday with enough sleep and sunshine.
Have a great week! - Kathy

  4. Your blog is just beautiful and so inspirational...I am also "into vintage"...and I too have a large collection of vintage tablecloths and it took me a long time before I had the nerve to cut into them...I have only been able to do so on the damaged ones!
    Happy everything,

Yes, a scrapbag would be a great giveaway, because I can't bear to cut up my stainy tablecloths either!

  7. Congrats to Kathleen on her vintage win!
BTW, I just did a quick archive tour, and it seems that Mr. Not Quite Into Vintage But Coming Along isn't the only Doily Factory resident that has yet to make a photo showing on the blog....hint, hint!

  8. I recently bought one of your vintage pillow covers and I love it on our front porch wicker settee! (I put it in a mosaic I made on my blog for Mosaic Monday.)However, there is a problem - I want more! I just looked at your etsy shop and I love the new additions...sigh...just when I swore off shopping on line for at least a month. So, I will be back in May to see what you have. In the meantime, I will enjoy your blog and dream!
    Blessings,
    Laurie

  9. There will be no sniffles here. There will be no stomping feet. There will be no pouting. There will be no *&$^#^$& (don't you wish they still did that with cursing on tv? - and no, I wouldn't really curse). There will only be gracious acceptance of not winning again.

So nice to meet Mr. Sorta Into Vintage. It's a pleasure.

    Hugs to you,
    Janelle

  12. Congratulations Kathy! Tell Mr. that he is appreciated, and that Mr. Finicky Frog has been charged with likewise duties that also include editing my blog because I can't spell...in fact I would have probably used him on the "aforementioned"...and yes, I scrolled up to see how you spelled it LOL.

I'm hosting a Giveaway on my blog as well. I would be so honored if you stopped in.

    I teached my kids good,
    Heather
